Apparently they're not allowed to label anything as higher than 30+ here although some sunscreens will offer greater protection than others (I can't find any info as to which ones are better though). Seems abit daft to me when we used to buy factor 50 and 60 in tesco!

The thread was closed earlier by Bondipom and then reopened, I suspect you need look no further.

Why on earth would this thread need to be closed? Very inoffensive i thought!

I wonder why they cant label higher than 30. Seems very odd to me.

Fort some reason he found the critiscism of Jeremy offensive, even though it would appear that Jeremy didn't

Jeremy

Why didn't the original Mod delete the thread if need be, which obviously it didn't need to be as it's back on. He wasn't offended or he would have said.

Bit trigger happy with the old left clicker.

The thread is about sunscreen not sunblock!

They used to only be allowed to put up to 15+ until a few years ago when it was changed to allow 30+. Don't know why they aren't allowed to just put what factor it is?

I notice that the OP comes from Ayr: there is a significant difference in the celtic sensitivity to UV compared with say mediterranean skins, as we know.

I have heard it said that most sunblocks do b*****r all except help the skin to fry rather than roast!
