Suggestions for moving stuff from Melbourne to Sydney?
Friends of ours emigrated in September and originally headed for Melbourne. It turned out that they hated it there though and so turned on their heels and headed for Sydney (to us 
). Only problem now is that their shipping (only about 8 large boxes I think) is heading to Melbourne.
Any suggestions on the cheapest way (they're in no rush for it) to move it??

I would say that anyone who hates Melbourne having given it 2 months is not really cut out for emigration no matter where they chose to go. I suspect they may have the same feelings toward Sydney (or anywhere) and their goods may yet head back to the UK without getting unpacked!!!

I would say that anyone who hates Melbourne having given it 2 months is not really cut out for emigration no matter where they chose to go. I suspect they may have the same feelings toward Sydney (or anywhere) and their goods may yet head back to the UK without getting unpacked!!!

Actuallly you've got it wrong - they were only in Melbourne for 5 days!
They've been in Sydney since mid October now. I don't think any of us know if we're cut out for emigration until we actually give it a try do we??

5 days it reminds me of the guy who arrived in Perth and on the taxi trip decided to go straight back to the airport and fly home.
Meanwhile his home contents still had 5 weeks on the water before they arrived

There was someone on another site who decided to go home (to UK) after less than a week in Mornington. They were asking what they could do about their shipment that was still on the high seas.
Different stokes for different folks.
