Just since you mention this, there was a program on BBC Scotland last night about Glasgow's gangs. There are over 100 gangs with more than 2,000 members from ages 10/11 upwards who 'meet' every Fri and Sat night in all the estates for a bit of 'friendly' rivalry with baseball bats, knives, samurai swords etc. Easterhouse alone is broken up into a dozen areas with a gang for each area and when questioned where they come from they give the name of their gang (toi etc). Glasgow 'proudly' leads European cities for gang warfare the program said. I saw some of the Toryglen gang hoping to have a 'cultural exchange' with the Gretna and Hearts supporters when I was up for the Scottish Cup final on Sat!

I meant that maybe the more 'lighthearted' comments posted earlier are not now appropriate.

I was thinking of mirroring the success of the British teenage lad who got to the summit of Everest yesterday, which makes him the youngest person ever to climb all of the highest peaks in each of the 7 continents.

He's an inspiration to me and so I want to start a fight in each of the 7 continents within 7 days. I'm British....it's my density......

Maybe.

People make light-hearted comments about Iraq all the time and yet 3500 people die there every single week.

Some guy died I heard. Pretty bad if you ask me. Why can't people just enjoy a night out without this stuff? Absolute madness!
