Suburb profiles Oz wide and it's free
Just stumbled across this site which gives basic information about Oz suburbs, with maps, house prices, price trends, pop, etc.
And it's all FREE, but I had to register but didn't cost anything.

Enjoy
No I was wrong you don't even have to register as I logged out and generated another report.

I was looking at the property sale prices in my area, on that site, and a couple of them had me puzzled. A house just 3 numbers away from one of mine sold on 16/2/04 for $100k, yet mine will sell for around $300k.
Either thats a mistake, or some lucky bugger got the deal of a lifetime

Mine works OK.
Interesting thing is, I did a search on two suburbs in Perth and both had the property prices for this year going down, whereas all last year they were going up.
Obviously, this is only good information if it's correct!!

You think thats bad..
I found this info the other day:
Sydney Quarterly Median House Prices
Year Value
1987 92,100
1988 117,000
1989 183,000
1990 180,000
1991 171,000
1992 176,000
1993 188,000
and median prices again from a different source;
1987 120,600
1988 178,300
1989 199,300
1990 173,800
1991 181,300
1992 178,000
1993 178,000
Notice the big differences, depending where you look for figures !

Anyone who can't get on this site could try this one:
http://reports.realestate.com.au/ind...rce=realestate
I couldn't manage to get any 'free' info on the other one I must have been doing something wrong, I kept getting the unavailable message and 'add to shopping cart'. But I didn't register, so that's probably why!
