So, the pale Brits will be arriving and would like to stay somewhere nice for the first few days/ weeks.

Hotels are out really due to 17 month old toddler.

Stayed in Hillary's last time, but a bit run down and we'd rather be more central. Oh and perhaps pay per week rather than per day.

Any recommendations?

Thanks all.

PS Will continue search

Hi

I've stayed in the Peninsula Riverside Apartments quite a few times recently. They're in a lovely position right on the river front overlooking the Perth City skyline on South Perth Esplanade, just a ferry ride across to the city. Nice and quiet but within walking distance of some great cafe's, restaurants and shops. Perth Zoo is also within walking distance.

It's not the cheapest of places, but very nice and worth considering if you're only going to stay there for a week or so.

Good luck

Christine

We have stayed at the Mounts Bay Waters apartments on the western edge of the CBD. It's not cheap but quality was very good. They do give a reduction for weekly stays (7 nights for the price of six, and then the apartment is cleaned once a week instead of daily.)

Hi, I can highly recommend Mandurah (1hr south of Perth) Great place for young children, a really pretty and rapidly growing place. We love it and have been here for 5years with our two children.
We have a lovely fully furnsihed recently refurbished family home available for rent with ocean views and lots more goodies. If you are interested in this wonderful part of WA then email me on [email protected]
