stni turned down in WA change state?

stni turned down in WA change state?
Hi we have been turned down a STNI for WA.My wife's job (vet) is no longer on the skills in demand.
They have offered us a SIR visa which i think after doing some research is no good for us.I dont think i could sleep for 3 years thinking that we have sold everything and moved to oz not knowing that we may not get permanent residency.
Is it too radical to move to a different state such as South Australia which would of been our second choice.We have done so much searching on Western Australia and have friends moving there as well it just seems a massive change,but PR would give us so much peace of mind.
I have no idea where i would want to go in SA.
Could anyone give me a idea of areas that could be similar to say Quinn's Rock,Mindarie,Brighton in South Australia we need to be near the coast.
