Still Confused....
OK...Question 1
What is the order of events in your Permanent Visa Application?
Question 2
From day 1 you apply to the day that your Permanent Residence Visa is granted, how many times do you need to visit Australia and what are the time guidelines?
Many Thanks!

1. Passed TRA
2. Sent Visa Appl to Adelaide
3. Acknowledgement received
4. Medicals, Police Checks & 1022 Form requested by our Case Officer
5. Sent for PCCs
6. Had Medicals
7. Doctor sent Medicals
8. Received PCCs
9. Sent PCCs & 1022 form
10. Got visa
As for how many times do you need to visit Aus.... when you get your visa you are given a date by which you must "validate" your visa (ie. get it stamped in Australia). This date is usually 1 year from the date of your PCCs or Medicals, whichever you did first.
Hope that helps

Re: Still Confused....
Excellent, Many Thanks for your replies, but whats a TRA? I've seen it mentioned a few times but unsure what it means. I also read you had 5 years to validate your Visa once granted. Am I wrong on that issue?

I'm not sure who assesses Nurses or what the procedure is but this lot in here do.

Some of them will probably give you a few pointers on this thread, but if you post your questions in there they will answer quicker.
Good luck with things.

So do you have to apply to the TRA before you apply for a Visa? If so, how do you start about it?

Wendy...Thanks a lot. I'm maybe thinking of letting an agent sort it all out for us. May be money worth spending to save the hassle of it all. Geez that Aussie immigration website just has me going round in circles!

We got an agent. It was so much easier as there was always someone to speak to who knew what they were doing !!
This site is brilliant but sometimes you will get conflicting advice then you don't know what to do.
I did find this page for you on DIMA's website though if it helps.

Thanks Wendy, you're a credit to this site Final Question(for now at least) How long do you get before you actually leave the UK once a visa has been granted?

Unless you have medical conditions then I wouldn't even worry about that though.

Re: Still Confused....
Right, so once validated, you come back to the UK. How long then considering your house may still be for sale?
