Default Starting a charity & getting funding

Does anybody know about starting up a charity and getting funding in Australia? I would love to be able to start a charity up in Australia and do the same kind of work I am doing now.

I started a charity in South East and I teach adults with musculoskeletal disorders/disabilities how they can use voice recognition software to dictate in documents via a microphone headset into Microsoft Word, Outlook Express and navigate Internet Explorer and other programs. Such musculoskeletal disorders/disabilities could be in the form of arthritis, thalidomide, carpal tunnel syndrome, loss of an upper limb, etc.
