Can anyone help me with info on how to get stat decs in the uk, need a couple for my TRA appeal, theses need to be from people I worked with, stating my day-to-day duties,position and period of employment.... as the managers can't be located (i'm a Chef/Cook, well actually neither acording to the TRA) as i'm tracing back 10 years.... AGAIN!! Also do I need to have any other evidence with those stat decs, like pay-slips etc....??

Im had to track back 10 years too.. I got what i could from past employers and the rest I wrote myself stating what i did and then getting a solicitor to stat dec them, (cost me about £10 , for about 15 documents. plus they had to sign and stamp all the photo copies.) payslips would be a good idea too.

hi for a stat dec you do it your self on plain paper this is for people who can get evidence on headed paper or like you cant get hold off ex emplyers they start with

to whom it may concern
I (give your name and address )do solemly and sincerely declare as follows:-
then write all your info about who you worked for what your job was and how you did the job you need to add as much info as possible listing what tools/equipment you have used etc but give every detail you can think off


then when you have finished that you need to put this at the end

and i make this solem declaration conscientiously believing the same to be true and by virtue of the provisions of the statutory declarations act 1935

declared by

you sign here

on this (put date here)

witnessed on the above date by
(get witness to sign name)

that is how i have done hubby's as we had to do 2 one for closure of business and one for when he was elf employed
