Question Sponsored Visa Questions.

Hi all, i am being sponsored on a 457 visa. the company that are my sponsor nominated me with IMMI and i recieved a confirmation letter on 26th sept (letter dated 19th sept). i have had x-rays and medicals done and these have been sent off this week, w/e 13th oct. i was wondering if anyone knew a rough time scale of a decision and also how would we be informed ie letter or e-mail. its just that i have some flights booked for 4th nov and don't really want to change them if possible. i appreciate any help/advice you can give me. thanks, Bill.

Hiya

We got granted a 457 very recently, it depends on where it is being processed, but Sydney processed our about 10 days after the x-rays were received and all ok'd.

So you may just make your flights. Are you using a immi agent or just doing it yourself?

The company who sponsored me provided me with an agent, then about 7 days after the x-rays had been signed for in Sydney I phoned him, he chased the case officer who said it was ready for approval.

Do you have your reference number if so log onto the immigration case etracking site (presuming it was lodged electronically?)

This allows you to check each day.

Finally if you have that etracking you an print out the approval confirmation or if lodged electronically you will get an email

SHouldnt take more than 14 days tho from date of xrays received by them

Take Care, good luck

Jo
