Default Speech Therapy/Pathology jobs in Australia

I'm wondering if anyone has any information on the job situation for Speech Pathologists in Australia? My son's girlfriend is hoping to move there in the near future. According to the website of Speech Pathology Australia (SPA) there is a national shortage of Speech Therapists and good job opportunities. However, she recently contacted an agent from a recruitment website who informed her this was not the case and there is no longer a shortage.
