Son in Perth
Not sure if this is allowed and apologies if not. My son has recently moved to Perth to be with his girlfriend who has dual nationality. He is finding it very hard to get work and I was wondering if anyone has any tips for finding work. He has worked in various aspects of building and before leaving the UK was building his own bespoke furniture to order. He’s a hard working 21 year old looking for a break. Many thanks from a cold windy UK

I presume he has met with as many agencies as possible? They have the reach into companies and can also give advice on updating (Aussiefying) CV's.
Also, once the CV is looking good, good idea to take it in (personally) into local pubs/bistros/restaurants. He can do online training for RSA/Food handling etc. Maybe something to tie him over until he can go back into building trade. Good luck!

He is on a 417 working visa. Think that’s what he said. He’s handing out CVs daily so keeping fingers crossed but will direct him to agencies if he hasn’t done so already. Many thanks for your input. Any help is greatly appreciated
