Default sold house - panic

Hi everyone, I'm new to this, have been reading posts for months and have finally decided to write one! We had our medicals in January and are now waiting, hoping to go to Hastings or Frankston area any information on these would be great, schools (have an 8 and 4yr old), house prices. Sold our house and buyers want to be in within ten weeks. trying to find best temporary accomodation without getting stuck in a 6 month contract, does anyone know if you can get a smaller contract? Whats the best shipping company to use, we aren't taking any furniture.

Can HSBC transfer your money over to an account thats been set up or do you have to use a company that deals in transferring money?

Thanks for any replies

Hi,
We had our meds in Jan too and are just waiting. Had a viewing on house yesterday but still haven't sold, so lucky you!!
We too are going to Mornington Peninsula but not sure where. Got friends in Mount Eliza. Why have you picked this area?

AS for transferring money we used a company specialised in the field of transfering currency for it.

Lucky you to be where you are at.. Can't wait til we are too. Regarding the money transfer you will probably get better rates with a sterling exchange company. Our agent recommenends a smaller company called sterling exchange or there is HIFX or Moneycorp. They are very easy to register with and you don't HAVE to trade with them after registering, so you can register with them all and pick the best rate at the time.

Hope this helps

Louise
