Soccer & Tennis on TV ?
Do the sports channels in Oz show much of the British Soccer ? Do they show much of the Tennis tournements - I am a big Andy Murray fan, and will be keen to track his progress in the years to come ?

Not sure about Foxtel as we got rid of this a little while ago but I do know the Australian open final wasn't even beemed live to Western Australia yet it was on BBC. Work that one out.

Foxtel don't have restrictions on showing the Saturday 3pm kick offs that Sky do in the UK, consequently you can see more games live here than you can in the UK.
If you're a fan of the "big 4" you can also see the Champions League games at some god forsaken hour on a weekday (count yourself lucky, ESPN, with their awful pundits, have lost the rights to show the games from next season).
All the tennis majors are on TV here too.

If you use IINet as your ISP you get approx 4 live and 4 delayed matches per week for free - doesn't even count towards your download quota.

A free to air channel called SBS is the main soccer channel. It is known locally as Sex Before Soccer (SBS) as it shows lots of continental European movies and soccer.
Check out their soccer website: http://www.theworldgame.com.au/
It has SBS soccer tv listings.
