Don't listen to them, Jen - they have no idea just how wonderful snuggies are
Mine was a joke present from my husband, which totally backfired as I use it - only in the privacy of my lounge, mind you.

Not a snuggie but a similar brand in Big W for about $16!

My son and I were pissing ourselves laughing at the latest snuggie ad yesterday. They now come in zebra print, leopard print, kids sizes and you can also buy them for DOGS!!!!!
They only gave the prices for the standard blue and red ones and said that if you want the "designer" look you just pay a little bit more. If I wanted a "designer" look I would not be seen dead in a synthetic shroud.

Maybe we could have a new TV programme. On one side people in snuggies, on the other people in doona suits. They then battle each other in a large refrigerator with obstacles such as ice floes and polar bears.
My money is on the doona suits.

I think they should make them for cats, then I wouldn't have to share mine.

Depends where you live. I'm in NSW and although it's not cold outside, it's bloody cold inside!! That's why I'm looking for another house to buy and going to make sure this one has full sun in the winter!!

Perth gets cold. This morning was 14 degrees at 7 am. It will get warmer during the day but come 4 ish it will drop like a stone.
It gets cold in this house at night. Last year we had duvets on the sofa in the evening! No fire here and after a previous thread I started, I am reluctant to go down the gas fire route as we don't have a flu.

I love the snuggie people on the commercial who are at the baseball game in their snuggies, they are all cosey while people in hats and jackets are freezing, lol, they also look like a cult.

I'm seriously thinking of getting one for my son's football games, it's always freezing!
We made our own when we were camping last year - a nice brown fleece blanket, I went everywhere with it on at night, including bed!

I bought one for my mum, who can feel a draught in a hermetically sealed room, and she loves it. Hers had a hood - it was like some kind of cool Jedi snuggie!

Whoever accused the Aussies as not being as stylish our European brothers have not obviously witnessed the masses wearing snuggies to footy matches and people wearing them on camping trips.
Give it until the next Northern Hemisphere winter and all those chic Parisian women will be rugged up in their snuggies prancing down the Arc de Triomphe swinging their Hermes Kelly bags in a matching colour.
Move over Yves, Calvin, Giorgio, Stella, Gianfranco, Coco, the snuggie has arrived.
