Default Snorkelling near Brisbane?

Does anybody know where the nearest safe place to snorkel is near Brisbane?

stradbroke island i guess is the closest. that's where prodive milton do all their padi courses. there is of course julian rocks in byron bay.

give prodive milton a call, or look at http://www.prodivemilton.com.au and check out where they are arranging dives.

Thanks Brisnick, we were at the shop last week and Jim's going to book a refresher course soon.

I was looking more for snorkelling, though, as there aren't many fish at the bottom of our pool and Joseph's getting brave enough to try it for real. Jim's promised to take him, but I don't know where they can go thats not too far away, where they'll see some fish and not get eaten by sharks!
