Ranks of skilled jobless swell, but not all sectors. The top 10 occupations where skills shortages persist are: Chefs, Metal tradespeople, Hairdressers, Health professionals, Food professionals, Science professionals, Computing professionals, Wood trades. Among the professional sectors affected by the downturn are accountants auditors, marketing and advertising, and construction. In the Sunshine Coast there is defo no shortage of carpenters or hairdressers. Not sure of the other groups though.
