Question Skill occupation assessment granted be different from nominated occupation

Is it okay if the skills assessment granted to you be different from your nominated occupation from the SOL??

Best advise I can give is get in touch with a MARA registered agent. You could be going around in circles for ever.

I think they've got to be the same as the skills assessment says whether or not you are suitable to apply under that occupation.

In principle, work experience does not have to be in the same occupation as nominated occupation.

But there are traps and issues to consider, including ASCO skill level and duties, Reg 2.27B for those with restricted occupations, a possible cap of 5 (rather than 10) for work experience points etc.

An online forum can't sort out these issues but an agent who's experienced in skilled migration can.
