Default Skill Indep(sub136) - Is 115 points enough?

Posted my Skilled Independant Visa and offically recieved on 3rd Nov 2003. Getting worried now...have I filled the form out right(did not use an agent), I'm mad going on my own...will I pass haven worked out my points at 115 (pass mark 115) and just about makes the pass mark - Anyone got into Oz being on just the pass border mark too?
Think I'm just getting post tense nerves - Need re-assurring - Anyone else feeling the same..

It seems like paying an agent reduces the anxiousness rather than increases ones chances of a visa. For those of a nervous disposition it might be money well spent.

115 points is what is required so you will be fine.

You posted your application to TRA 3rd November ? did you pay the extra for the express processing ? I've seen several other TRA applications processed and results posted that were recieved in December, I would have thought you might have heard something by now.

Best of luck

You're "mad going on your own"? Then join the lunatic asylum. I went out in '89 - just as the recession kicked in - on my own, no job, no interviews, no nothing. But making something of yourself in your new country is part of the challenge/appeal

Default Australia News

Yep all part of the plan 'going it alone sound more exciting!". ....to clear up the earlier thread.....My positive skills assesment came back in Sept 2003, application for Immigration was received Nov 2003 - Expecting to hear for medicals & police checks around Aug 2004...
Going on my own yep I know 'mad'..ha ha!...but although got family in Adelaide, I hope to do as much as I can for me and not rely on them to much - Mum hoping to come out wiv me, possibly dad too...aarrrrrrrrh; ain't that nice!
Maybe in Australia Immigration news next month..if so I'll let you know on here guys....famous at last..maybe??
In the meantime I'll keep trying for a new job as the redundancy money is drying up and dole don't pay the bills(sky sports) and keep me in stella artois either!!#
Cheers for the comforting words guys! I can sleep better now!

...from what i've read on here since i joined, going it alone is the sane option!! You'd be bonkers to go with anyone else! At least on your own you have no worries of having to come back because your partner doesn't like it even though you do. also it's a lot cheaper.

Dude, you have 115 points, you've made the cut. I know of a colleague who applied with the minimum points and got her skilled indepen. visa after 4 months(she's a nurse). Anyhow, it's your case officer who decides how many points you have based on the evidence that you send with your application form.
