single parents
I am new to this site but was wondering whether there is anyone out there who could help me, I am looking into the possibility of migrating to WA, having just returned from holiday there.
I am a single parent and know I can offer her a better quality of life out there. I was wondering whether there are any other single parent families that have taken this step and whether they could offer any advice with regards to exes, how to go about it alone or any advice that would be of help.
I have done a little research on where to start and would rather not go through agencies if at all possible.
I'm finding it all a bit daunting at the moment but am certain that this is the move for me.
Thanx

I'm a qualified hairdresser although haven't done it for a while. I know hairdressers have been in demand for a long time so am worried that by the time I get the relevant work experience the points system may have changed.
I have been umming and arring about whether to go or not - pulling my daughter out of everything she knows and is used to -but know that if I don't give it a try then I'll regret it for the rest of my life.
All my family and friends are all up for us going which helps (and has also given me a huge complex - they cant wait for us to go!!!!) But, with reason, I don't think her Dad is gonna be as supportive - but for the wrong reasons ie. doesn't want me to be happy.
We were never married so he doesn't have any parental responsibility as yet.
This is all that is stopping me from taking the first steps.
Thanx in advance
