I think the a380 only flies to Sydney but could be wrong.

Aye, the A380 is only doing Sing-Syndey routes at the mo. They will take delivery of a 2nd plane in aerly 2008 which will do the Sing-Heathrow route.

When I last did the route it was a Boeing 777 its a decent plane with slightly more space than the 747's (usually).

I think you will get 777. The bassinet seat had no view of the window when I did that leg last time

Yes they are getting on a bit. That "clunk" sounds they make when they taxi worries me

...as others have said its a 777, and not one of their better ones - if you were lucky enough to be in business you would be getting old style seats rather than the beds most Oz cities get. The only way onto the A380 this side of Xmas is to fly to Sydney. My friend was on it the other day and reckoned it was sensational.....very roomy (in economy) and quiet.

sounds nice but would rather not have to transit through sydney with a 2month old baby. Singapore direct to Brisbane will be easier.
