Default silly question

Hi guys was out looking at beds and general furniture at the weekend before we move over as we are going to buy new and ship over.
Then i had a thought will i get the stuff through customes alright as a lot of the stuff we like is wooden like the bed frame tables etc.

please advise.

On another note woke up this morning Scotland its freezing here cant wait to move.

Wood furniture is generally fine since it is treated and sealed. On the other hand, brand new may incur customs charges.

But, it's unlikely if you only bring over brand new single items that are obviously for your own use.
