Now the question is are there real christmas trees to be bought in perth at xmas time is it toooo hot out there for them .... Or are we allowed to bring in our artificial tree seems that people have problems with xmas decorations.

Are artificial trees ok? It has never had any natural decorations on it - -only placko types (cheap I is).
I've chucked out the old artificial wreath as some one has posted that you end up paying for them to be destroyed. How long will it take before customs realise that the reason they melt instead of burn is because they are artificial!!!!!!

You can buy real trees here in Perth, i always had a real one in the UK but the other half wont let me here because they are too expensive, so we now have a very scabby fake one.
You can bring in artificial trees no problem but as everyone says remember to check for any cones.
One thing you will find is that people tend to put their decs up earlier, some have them up late November, then takethem down straight after christmas, there is none of this sad looking tree with no pressies under it at new year business here. Outdoor lights are really popular, some suburbs have really cracking displays.

Be careful with xmas decs.
Have a friend who got a phone call from customs demanding $100+ for destroying pine cones in xmas decs which my friend insisted weren't there. It was only when my friend offered to go down to the Port so he could show him the items he had supposidly packed that he was told it was an error and it was somebody elses belongings!
My friend reckons it was because he wrote XMAS DECORATIONS in big letters on the packing box that they just took pot luck!
Nice little money spinner
