can anyone recommend any houses for short term rentals around nov29th ,07 to jan 10th,08 please?

You'd be better off posting this in the Australia forum instead of the migration forum. People on this forum generally speaking are not in Australia yet so aren't in the best position to advise you.
In addition, try stating what part of Australia you want the rental in - it's a big country.
