Default Short term holiday letts in Brisbane, HELP!

We are a family of 4 moving to the Gold coast hopefully mid June/July this year. I just want to ask where did you choose to stay for the first 6 weeks etc whilst waiting for your furniture to arrive?
As soon as our furniture arrives we will rent around Upper Coomera but initially I am looking at some short term holiday letts in Labrador. They are furnished and you can have a 2 bed apaprtment for around $500 per week and use on a weekly basis.
What did you do? After the long flight and upset of leaving freinds/family behind I would just like our arrival to be pleasant and not daunting. Hence a nice place to stay on arrival is very important.
Any help please and can anyone tell me how long their furniture took to arrive, we are thinking of using Crown for our removal.
Kindest regards
Janex

We are able to offer you a semi permanent cabin. These cabins must be taken for a minimum of 4 weeks and may be extended after this time. These cabins are fully furnished and fully self contained with linen included. The tarriff for these cabins is $300.00 per week for a 1 bedroom cabin or $375.00 per week for a 2 bedroom cabin. there is also a refundable cleaning bond of $80.00 and a key deposit of $25.00.

The first 4 weeks of your accommodation and the cleaning and key bonds must be paid in full prior to your arrival.
We do require you to fill in an application for these cabins. This may be done via e-mail. If/ when your application is approved we require one week holding deposit to hold the cabins untill the final amount is paid prior to your arrival.

Hope this helps!

We stayed at Brisbane Holiday Village when on holiday and have booked it again for when we arrive on the 29th May , the cosmo cabin is superb. We also stayed at Ashmore Palms on the Gold Coast, site was grand but the family villa was not a patch on the cosmo cabin (called sometyhing else at Ashmore), Asmore palms is well positioned getting about, near the highway, Warner Brothers and all the theme parks. There is a link on the Brisbane Holiday Village site as they are the same company.
