Default shipping surfboards

I am trying to de wax my husbands surfboards and would like to know how clean they should be please?

I am well aware of cleaning bikes but the bike has been through field and dale whilst the surfboards have been in the sea. It is waxy and sandy

Please help as i am unsure about this and bored of the sticky wax!!!

Thanks

Hannah

I'm not an expert in this, but I'm sure the answer is going to be either swarfega or WD40......

leave it out in the sun for a bit (if you can find some)
scrape off with wax comb or credit card type implement
wipe down with old rag with turps or white spirit.....will look brand new when finished

i shipped mine over fully waxed...never thought to remove and had no problems

Why are you de-waxing his surfboard?

Make sure you get his permission before scraping his board - that's a serious task for the hardened surfer. Do it wrong and he'll be scraping the polish off your shoes

There are some things a man just has to do alone

Thanks for advice and concerns. I

am de waxing his surf board as he is working still and I am not. He started it and was very slow and had to go back to work. I have done what I can and he will finish it off ready to bag.

His surfboard doesn't need to be de-waxed to be shipped. Besides, that sounds suspiciously like "man's work" to me. Killing spiders and de-waxing surfboards; definitely man's work.

I don't know anyone who de-waxes surfboards before travelling. You, or husband, will have to spend more time re-waxing them at other end too.
