Default Shipping some ebony and ivory?

Just wondering if anyone here has looked into shipping a piano?

I've got a really nice upright Yamaha, that i would love to send, but i hav'nt got around to getting a quote yet. The company i am using for my teachests won't touch it.

Would it travel ok? I would have thought it would need retuning upon arrival, but would there be any lasting damage?

pete from my experience ,i would get it crated, they are a lot easier to handle this way, and less likely to be damaged, and yes it will need tuning in its new home................. MM

Thats great MM, thanks for the reply.

On the offchance, do you have any idea how much it costs? no worries if you don't.

Cheers

Pete.

it would depend, on how many cubes,[ ft-mtres] it endes up being. i cant see why it could,nt be shipped with your t-chests. try the excess baggage web site and just do a dummy on line quote, should be about the mark............. MM
