We have decided to get rid of everything to avoid all the aggro and start a fresh,still needed to send personal effects photo's, tools, etc.perfect solution.

Ain't done this before,it's like first time on holiday in US..couldn't find the petrol cap or the lights and I've been driving for 20 year..doh!

if we get our visa i will be leaving everything back to be sold,dumped give away or what ever and we are only bringing ourselves.

We have three weeks to get out of here.... so we are taking everything and sort out at the other end - £3150 for a 20 foot container - just a shame the dogs cant go in it

Who are you shipping your stuff with i am thinking we will need a 20ft container now, gone from taking nothing to taking everything omg this does do your head in lol

Do you think that price is competitive?
Also does it include packing and unpacking?

There are thousands of informative posts about shipping on BE. Have a search, and a whole new world will open up for you.

There is a very detailed post going at the moment by bigAPE about shipping cars. Shipping a Vespa might be more than its worth. If you cannot bear to part with it, OK, but if you want to take it for fun, think carefully.

It doesnt work out much cheaper taking part containers, and it normally means that you have to wait longer before you get your belongings at the other end (if you share a container)

Use the search button, and you can also get a good idea of recommended shippers and rough costings as well.

Any question that you can imagine has been asked at some time on BE so searching will always turn up some answers, but whatever you do NEVER ask about the price of lettuce or bannanas
