Default Shipping Grrrr

After seeing all the usual shipping reps we decided on Anglo Pacific for our imminent move to Sydney with collection date set for Saturday 7th February, 1 week away. Today they ring me to tell me that because the packing date is a Saturday they will have to charge extra, something never raised by them during the initial meeting when I told the rep of the date I wanted. I was shocked when AP told me it would cost me an additional £300, and that's on a 275 cuft shipment costing £1400 - nearly an extra 25%. Luckily enough Pickfords can still fit us in on the 7th eith no Saturday charge so the business goes to them. AP didn't seem bothered when I told them.

Smart move. From what I've read on this forum AP have a reputation to uphold.

:scared: indeed!

I hope you haven't got any pink fluffy chairs as they seem to be particulary adept at losing those.
