What is the big issue over schools in Oz, I realy dont understand why everyone on here must send a kid to a private school when there are perfectly good state schools available. I will not be sending my three to private primary school, its too espensive and they will not benifit from 7 years or private education. However I may send them when its time for high school, only if the local high school is not upto scratch???????????

that is what I am trying to find out if the state schools are up to scratch as we are new to the area, as i believe the original person who asked the question is .My children have been in state primary schools in another state and have achieved quite well one being a school captain and i just want to make sure that i am making the right choices for them for their high schooling years. so to me that is a big deal state or private in qld? And which state school is the best in this particular area that i have moved to they certainly don't have to go private.
