Sheldon college, brisbane, fees ?
Anyone any idea of the sheldon college fees ?
Are they like ormiston college ?

Application Fee: $140 (non refundable)
Confirmation Fee: $450
One-off Building Fund Donation (tax deductible): $500
Junior School (Prep to Year 7): $1,275.00 plus $34.00 (Resource Levy) Per term * 4

Two kids are looking like 12K a year (8,6) Ekkk.
What are the bayside state schools like ?
Or the religious private schools ( how religious are they )?
Are they like ormiston college ?

Hvae just received our bill - can't find all the deails about building fund etc, but we did cough up.
My year 6 (age 11)costs: $1548 & my year 9 (13 year old) costs: $1810 per semester. These fees are considerably less than you'd pay for a middle of the road private school in the Oxfordshire/Berks UK - trust me, we looked into it.
On top of this you will pay camp fees. Music tuition (great school for music) academic comptetion fees
extra sports(after school) fees. The list does seem to go on. However, we are very happy, the kids are happy. Sheldon have very good morals & keep them up. It is a strict but fair school.

Not sure of the join up fees but they are probably similar to Ormiston. Our Child is in middle college and we pay $1600.00 per term plus extras if you want drama etc. Our Eldest just left Sheldon - seniour was about $1900.00 per term. Academic school - very good on discipline but if you compare private school fees to British Public school fees - cheap at the price and very good quality.
There is a waiting list for Sheldon and the facilities are very good and brand new as the school is only 10 years old.

Hi our two kids go to Ormiston which is a great school. Heard good things also about Sheldon (to disciplined for us though) also Iona Catholic Boys school has a good reputation. Other than that I would say Cleveland State School which I have on VERY good authority, is the best state school in the Redlands (and very cheap). Redlands College very christian (which may suit you (but not us)

We have a private Maths tutor for our son and she has worked in most of the local schools organising curriculum or general teaching. She speaks very highly of the way the learning is structured at Cleveland High. I don't know any kids that go there so I can't give an opinion myself, but you've gotta trust somebody sometime .....

very weird that I found this web site i too was looking at sheldon college and couldn't find any info.have looked at ormiston college very beautiful and also cleveland high still very undecided would love to know what you have decided and wether you have any other new info. we also are new to the area and have no idea.have heard good things about cleveland but ormiston looks soo nice but is it 12 thousand dollars nice hmmm undecided.
