Have done 14 days, but it was a straightforward sale, the purchasers had cash, we had all the building approvals, easy peasy.

Is there any minimum period? I would've thought it would be the quickest time that all parties involved could agree to and still complete all the necessary legal formalities.

Our settlement was 12 days. We were then held up because the owner had money issues but we still moved in on the original date. Our solicitor held on to our money whilst here issues were sorted. Once our money was paid to her, the solicitor sent us a cheque for the interest the money had earnt whilst in their account

It can be as long or as quick as you like (within reason) especially if you are buying cash.

Only thing you might have to wait on are the searches (done by your solicitor)
