sent application still no acknowledgment

sent application still no acknowledgment
Hi guys,
We sent off our visa application on 17th August and have still not received acknowledgment (13th Sept). What sort of time span are we looking at before we should start to worry. Just that we regularly send letters to family in Oz and it normally takes around 7 days for them to receive it. Could anyone out there please let me know how long it took before you received acknowledgment.

app sent 23 rd june arrived 26 june money taken £760 ish 29/JUNE
email acknowledment 27 july
hope this helps i sent my app with COURIER

Our acknowledgement took 6 weeks so hopefully you will get yours pretty soon. good luck

They received our application 08-08-06 and I'm still waiting for the acknowledgement......unreal how long it takes (skilled independent, non-MODL, 136)
