Maybe, or maybe however long until people in Labor backstab her and Bill Shorten is sworn in by his mother-in-law.

I caught the lead up programs, no Labor spokesmen were put up which also indicated a likely labor win.

Not really a win - wouldn't have been for either side.

All the independents have done (including Wilkie) is to add extra policy and confirm they will support supply, and not support frivolous no-confidence motions. Other than that, they've said they will vote how they like.

Well one side gets to ride in government cars and the other side gets to take the bus.

The govenment will have to be carefull not to piss the indies off but there are not too many wedge issues, they have the numbers to win a mining tax vote for example.

The numbers in the Senate? It doesn't change until next July.

Great stuff

Serves the coalition right for being so smug after the election and assuming they'd walk it. Can't wait to hear all the bitter right wingers over the next day or two

what does this actually mean? I assume that it is political garble and it does have a meaning that can be understood by the layman.

Can anyone please translate it into plain english?

Supply is the flow of money from treasury to projects. One tactic is for independents/oppositions to block supply, so that even though the policy may exist, the flow of money to them doesn't.

That is my interpretation of it anyway.

Supply = finance bill / money raising bills
Confidence = wont support a no confidence motion (vote to throw out the government)
