What do people miss??

Marmite, Bisto, Yorkshire Tea, 'British" choclolate.... the list goes on and on.
I don't miss any of them. The only thing I miss is a decent pint of bitter.

What's wrong with Aussie chocolate?? I'm a massive chocolate fan, might have to take some in my suitcase haha.

It tastes different, or so I'm led to believe. Something to do with it being able to handle the 'Aussie conditions'.
I don't eat enough of it to be able to make the call on that.

after you have been here a few years you get used to most of it there are still things you miss but often you find when you do taste it that your tastes have moved on like Eddie said but not always lol

The one thing I really missed when I was in Sydney was gammon now I'm in Melbourne and have the English butchers in Dandenong I can have that too and no pickled pork just doesn't taste the same!

Put it in a box, declare it on the Customs label as Food and put it in the post.

It's vile. I love Cadbury's Flake but wouldn't touch it here. Aeros and Mars bars not much better either.

Since moving to Perth we've discovered we can get a British choccy fix from English lolly shops in Rockingham and Mandurah. And they sells Walkers crisps too.

Funny though, we don't buy the English chocolate as often as I thought I would. Probably because it's five times more expensive than UK. Only buy as a treat or when I get a craving for a Wispa or Galaxy.

I'm trying to lose weight so glad Aussie choc is crap

If you can't get English chocolate you can buy Lindt choc - which is very good - from supermarkets and Priceline pharmacy.

I can't tell the difference between UK and AU chocolate TBH. Or UK and AU Frey Bentos pies.

I do miss Twiglets though, and made sure I filled my face with them on my recent trip back...

5kg of whatever you fancy in a box sent via transglobal.org is £39.39 with UPS

Everything gets there within the week, no worries!

Fill your boots with whatever you fancy... but take into account that it might be cheaper to source your fix from specialist suppliers in Australia than pay the postage!

My local Woolies (Lane Cove) usually has Twiglets in the Brit section. Not partial myself but can't resist when they have Penguins!

The Cadbury's chocolate over here is foul, apparently they add extra whey powder to stop it melting, makes it taste like cooking chocolate from the Old Country. Luckily Lindt is in abundance so the chance of me getting that bikini body i hoped for are back to zero.

Awesome.
