Has anyone packed a 20ft container themselves and what was the cost of shipping compared to full load / unload service?
We're seriously considering moving back to Brissy as I have a job I could go to and are just looking to save some costs.

Do a search. This question comes up every so often and people are told (and eventually find out for themselves) that there are hardly any savings.

We were quote about £300 difference.
And believe me, sitting here (right now) watching the packers, it is the best £300 we've ever spent!

i agree, we moved to oz packed ourselves, (bubblewrap, brown tape, and boxes) the cost and stress, moved back to the uk got the packers in to do it so much easier less stressful, when we move back at easter to oz we are getting the packers in to do the lot.

Well, they have just left - everything we own inside a container - and those guys worked really hard over the last couple of days.
Defo get them to pack it. And they unpack at the other end and take away all the empty boxes and rubbish!
