Self Employment when moving To Oz
I'm currently self employed in the UK.
When first moving to Australia can you startup self Employed or do you need to start off with an employer?

Think it depends on the visa you're on. You might get more answers in the immigration section of this site, as that's where the worldly immigration agents hang out - who know all.

If you are coming ona PR visa, then its pretty straight forward.
Register yourself as Self Employed with ATO, grab an ABN number, which can also act as your GST number. Away you go, how simples that.
