Sea World Resort
Hi All
We have booked our holiday to Australia for December. While on the Gold Coast we will be stopping in the Sea World Resort (thought our kids would like it). Has anyone stayed there before?
Would we need to hire a car while we are on the Gold Coast or is it easy to get around on public transport/taxis. We will be staying there for 6 days before flying to Sydney). Any advice on what else we should see while we are there.
Thanks in advance, getting pretty excited now everything is booked.

Hire a car. It will give you freedom to explore the coast and getting from one place to another by cab etc will be a pain in the ass if not more expensive than the car hire itself.
Aside from the normal themeparks - Dreamworld, Movieworld, Wet and Wild etc take time out to head up the Sunshine coast to Noosa and Noosa Heads beaches, Australia Zoo. Surfers is trashy tourist but fun.
Check out Jupiters Casino's show which is good and the Outback Spectacular is worth a nose.
Should be a good 6 days for you.

Stayed there a long time ago - perfectly adequate with all the facilities you need - restaurants were a bit pricey though
