DesperateHomer is an unknown quantity at this point
Default Schools

We’re serious about emigrating to OZ and so I guess it’s sensible to ask the following of anyone who has had experience of recently moving over.

On arrival our daughters will be 10 & 13. We like the idea of living in
Perth
Melbourne
Adelaide
Tasmania
Sydney

Q1 What’s the general feeling about the standard of the state education?
Q2 Sounds daft but, do they have school bus “like the old days here” or is up to you to get them there?
Q3 In light of this is there anything we should know/give advice/give warning/etc about schools and schooling in general.

Hi

For all your posts, best to input each into the search engine on forum to start with. i.e schools in perth, jobs in taz, snakes in mel etc.

Loads of these questions recycled.

Good luck

DesperateHomer, none of your posts have much to do with Immigration - try using the general Australia board. .

Perth is good for us and our family. Our children are being educated in catholic schools and we are very happy with the teaching they are receiving - it is different to the UK and a great deal of people on the forums are not so happy with thier kids education. Its all about the schools you pick , your expectations and your childrens ability to adapt , I guess.
Good luck with your quest !
