Bread is now $1.40, and onions have gone up too, those are old prices, but she doesn't like onions anyway.
I have no real idea what she actually eats, although she does tell me sometimes.
I may start getting her to bring me some lunch home. I am getting a bit fed up with a traditional Ploughman's lunch (Bread cheese and onions)

Is there a McDonalds nearby? She can get a chicken mcnugget happy meal which includes chips and a drink for less than the price of a plain chicken sandwich. And you get sauce as well! Plus a free toy.

The sandwiches and salads are more expensive than at our school but we would never put Egg in a Chicken Salad Box. We also do all types of Salads every day, not weekly.

We've just moved away from using any ready made, processed food. Everything we sell now is made on the premises every day, our steak pies are fab!

Tuck shop stuff though seems to be just for the odd occasion when people haven't got anything in by all accounts.

I am struggling with food being kept in an edible condition in the heat - even with frozen drinks in the boxes.

My kids lunchboxes are more expensive I think than it would cost from that list - they are just walking dustbins and scrounge if they dont have enough so I have started sending 2 boxes of food to school save the embarrassment. they are skinny though so I am not bothered

My daughter has 2 more weeks of schooling here in the UK so we decided as a treat we would pay for the school dinners for those 2 weeks. Was only £18 for 2 weeks. The menu selection is really quite decent too.

Looking at those Australian school menus and what you get for your money it looks a bit disappointing especially if your child is not that into salad. I hope she really enjoys the school dinners as it looks like she will be back to lunch boxes for school.
