Ok, if I've got this right the start of the school year in WA is the beginning of Feb so your 14 year old son will still be in year 10 when he arrives in March and will not reach year 11 until Feb 2007, so he will do an extra 4 months in year 10. Your 12 year old daugher will still be in year 7 but secondary school doesn't start until year 8 in WA so she will spend an extra 10 months in Primary school. I need somebody to confirm this though as I'm only 99.5% sure. Different states have different schooling policies.

Doesn't it depend on when there birthdays are?
Our son is 6 this month and when we arrive in Oct he will go into pre-primary for one term and then yr 1 in Feb, and thats in perth
Hope that helps,
Nicola
