He also has a little bakery going selling all of the great pies, pasties, pork pies, sausage rolls, etc.
Eating them you could close your eyes and be back in the UK.
He also sells British sweets (lollies for those of you who have been here too long), some crisps, hula hoops, chocolates, etc.
Details are as follows:
Syd's Pie Factory (Highland Fling Products)
4059 Pacific Highway
Loganholme.
Te 3806 5062
www.highlandflingproducts.com
The only downside is they are only open 7am till 4pm Mon to Fri, and 7am - 1pm on Saturdays, closed Sundays. (Which makes popping in after work impossible!)
No - I'm not being paid to put this info here... I just love their sausages so much I want everyone to know about it. I agree - Aussie sausages suck!!!
If you are coming from the Northside, take exit 31 off the M1 Pacific Hwy, go over the overpass and continue as if you were going to try and get back onto the motorway going North. The little street that takes you back onto the motorway (Leawarra Drive) is where they are located, next to a Harley Davidson repair shop. You'd almost miss them if you didn't look closely.
Seriously - their bangers are worth the drive!
In fact, I had some last night with mash, peas, fried onions and gravy (Bisto!) mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm!!!!!!!

Yes we are very busy still making our fantastic Pork Pies, pasties etc. You can find them at the New Farm markets, Mitchelton Farmers Market and Noosa Farmers Market.
+ Just for you
We also now attend the Marina Mirage Farmers Market every 1st and 3rd Saturdays of the month. Down on the GC SpitAlso find our Pies and Pasties in all the Pig n Whistle Pubs, and most of the British Shops food shops (Pommes Teashop, Wynnum..Teddies & Sweets, Redcliffe and Jemberleys in Caloundra. Plus a host of other places, Hope Island Deli, Wendland Deli, Toowoomba, Rosalie, Brisbane, Noosa Delis, etc. in fact you can now even get them from the bakery at Eagle Heights up Mt Tambourine.
Also, may as well announce this now...Real, British sausages coming early next year...(All quality none of the mincey rusky bland rubbish) First varieties to include a Cumberland ring, Good ole British Banger and a Pork and Leek. Been busy working on the these for the last 6 months....& they're gonna be the best damn sausages in Australia! Natural skins of course..thought I better just clarify that too.
I'll do a proper ad through the right channels on the site as soon as they are launched..but you heard it here first.
I must also get around to doing a blog about our adventures in Oz so far...been out here 26 months now.
Anyhow back to making Pasties, Sausage rolls and Pork Pies for the Barmy Army camped in the Pig n Whistle all week.
