Cool salary expectations??

Hi,
Hubby has an initial phone interview for a job in Karratha and they said they would be asking him about his current salary and his salary expectations in a job over there.I've been reading past threads about Karratha and several people have said that the salary level is high there, someone said 'you could earn BIG BUCKS'
What would be a 'big bucks' salary, does anyone know?
He is on quite good money here (tho' we've never any left at the month end!!) and we weren't sure what to expect in Oz but we don't mind less money if the relocation package is OK.

Sorry, havn't a clue!
I think anything over $100.000 would be considered 'big bucks' and maybe you would get 'extra' benefits like LAFHA and rent assistance.

It won't be easy to estimate his potential salary without knowing the Australian counterpart to this job, but the following overview might help:

Petroleum Engineer $50,000 - $100,000+

Mining Engineer $50,000 - $80,000+

Oil & Gas Roustabout $55,000 - $70,000+

Aboriginal Heritage Officer $35,000 - $65,000+

Community Relations Specialist $60,000 - $80,000+

Training Officer $65,000 - $75,000+

Tenement Officer $35,000 - $80,000+

Geoscience Technician $40,000 - $52,000+

Purchasing Officer $25,000 - $85,000+

Shot Firer $35,000 - $80,000+

Haul Truck Driver (underground) $55,000 - $65,000+

Plant Mechanic $29,000 - $60,000+
Source.

If he doesn't recognise anything in this list, he should visit the Website and have a look around.

Best of British to you both!

Are you getting a house included in the salary package because property is very expensive there (as well as everything else)
