Hi
you can get similar to Sky over here (not Sky+ though) but to be honest you don't need it.
1. There's loads of other things to do...
2. Take the opportunity to improve your quality of life.... evening classes, take up art, fishing or 'do sport' etc.
3. A lot of the better (addictive) telly is readily available on free TV at reasonable hours.
or alternatively you could spends endless hours surfing the net....
Personally I would suggest doing without for a while, life is much better without it.

Do a search on Foxtel on the forum, and you will find loads of threads. Even if you have other stuff to do, its nice to have the TV to fall back on, and if you get the UKTV channel on Foxtel you get so much British stuff she'llthink she's back home!!
