Default SA - Adelaide

The rental market is tight.
Im looking for a room or buddy up. Can only find flatmate's which is very limited for a 50 year old.
Any suggestions. Currently paying $150 a night in a hotel.

Anyone got a room to spare or possibly a furnished unit.

Currently staying near Grange north of Henley Beach. I like or round here as the city is close by and the beach is glorious. But and its a big but there are many chasing few units. I guess Seaton, Fulham Gardens, Lockleys all well located....

Have you looked on Facebook Marketplace - there are a few room's on there. You can also find people looking to break tenancy, and need someone to take it over.

I'm up north so not a lot of help.

I often see people either looking for or offering rooms on community Facebook groups here in the Adelaide hills maybe worth a try. Join some in the area you are looking at.
Also now in off season the seaside holiday resorts and cabins may have some longer term deals, better than a hotel anyway. Ditto holiday let’s. We negotiated a 6 week deal in a property off stayz when we arrived. Got a decent discount as we didn’t want breakfast goods or interim cleaning (there was a washer etc so we cleaned ourselves).

Just looked Big 4 resort west Beach has cabins for $50 bucks a night. Give them a call and see what they can do.
Good luck!

Well Adelaide has been an experience. But I'm off to the Gold Coast I think.

Benowa and Broad beach are my locations. Anyone have experience of the rental market around central Gold Coast.
Never flew an infernal before where would you book for last minute Adelaide to Gold Coast airport.

Thanks.
Lovely round West Beach just a tad too quiet for a single guy....
I've found the local people very welcoming. More so than other States.

I would look direct on airline websites. Good time to go up there and escape the winter. We will be off to the Sunshine Coast for a few weeks in August.
Enjoy your next adventure!
