I don't think you know anything about family assistance so shouldn't assume things. With 2 kids you still get it if you earn $110k. Hardly a welfare family.

I do know about family assistance because I earn too much to get it myself.

Any state handout is basically welfare. It should be for people who are unable to support themselves but nowadays everyone seems to think it is their right. If you can't afford kids you shouldn't have them.

Yep. It takes 8-10 years for a socialist government to really f**k a country up. Just look at:
Blair/Brown (UK)
Mandela/Mbeki (SA)
Clarke (NZ)
etc
KRudd and his successor, Gillard will take about the same time.
