Default Rudd - Handouts for Families Pensioners House Buyers...

Rudd plans to use a large chunk of the budget surplus he inherited from the previous govvy to stimulate the housing market, more family payments, more welfare more for pensioners ....

http://news.ninemsn.com.au/article.aspx?id=646380

Not sure about this one, more on welfare here is notorious for a run on plasma TV's and pokies , housing market, free stamp duty and falling interest rates will probably create another boom, especially as aussie now view shares and superannuation as fab ways to lose their cash.

All very interesting, other countries are saying population needs to do it tough for a while, rudds saying even more handouts.

Different I guess

He is working towards the next election. He has done bugger all in the last year and hopes he can stretch it out to the next election doing bugger all. I am still waiting for my fibre optic broadband link and free laptop for my son. He is a waster.

I am concerned by the mentality of it all.

Yes as you say its all a bit Rudd to the Rescue, yet more handouts, and the aussie population does seem to expect that every blip or crisis will be solved by yet another boost in welfare payments/cash bonus, handout/grant, allowance etc.

What will it be this time, working families get a $1000, great the plasma TV sales guys must be well pleased this morning Seriously its not going to be spent on the electricity bill is it.

Reckon the Real Estate agents will be dusting off their yellow suits too Low interest rates, free stamp duty, bring out the hair gel.

Well a increase in the first time buyers grant sounds good to me.
We have put off buying until we have PR next year,so any increase will be handy.
As long as house prices dont rise with it.

So you haven't got either yet then. What a surprise! I won't bother having a kid then if the goodies don't show up as promised!!!

I haven't heard the previous govt big themselves up for the surplus legacy left by them to the present govt - a missed opportunity.

I suppose it depends yet again on his definition of "working families" and what a low to middle income earner is
I know some extra money would come in handy here to clear some bills....

I think he really means "welfare families", "dole bludgers" and general "layabout" types.

KRudd is a tool. Instead of trying to enable economic stimulus through tax cuts, he decided to spend it on the welfare gravy train instead. This country is addicted to welfare and successive governments have just made it worse.

The ultimate nanny state has just got a bit more nannyish......
