You sad lot talking about perfect yorkshire puds.
Look forward to seeing you all on Wednesday. Sally we bumped into your two boys outside Woolies at secret harbour. They were keeping the girls intersted!! No Nikki said she didn't get lost but she does require a satnav to find her way around Port kennedy!
Chris give a call if you are thinking of catching some fish b4 the meet up.

Hi All
We are just in the initial stages of visa applications so its probably 12 months before we can join you.
BUT, we already for some bizarre reason have homed in on Rockingham as home. Having never set foot in OZ, having a place in mind seems quite bizarre.
If anyone with wisdom wishes to give us the pros and cons of 'Rockie' then please let us know your thoughts.
We have one 5 year old and one 15 year old who doesnt want to go - so we need a major sales job on her! The new railway direct to the shopping in Perth is a bonus - since shopping and beauty seem her only pastime in life!
Being over the hill at the old age of 46 has restricted our visa options greatly - so it looks like a business startup or investment - again any ideas welcome.
Feedback on any schools which excel would also be appreciated.
Looking forward to hearing from you all.

can only go on personal experience but we looked in a few different areas and decided Warnbro was for us, our reasons--
we wanted to be somewhere where our kids would be able to socialize as they got older (ie: will be trains into Freo & Perth city) & us!!!!!!!
decent schools- we have 2 at Warnbro Primary & 1 at Warnbro Community High and have been quite happy so far (us and kids-my daughter hated school with a passion in the Uk-she loves it here), we checked them out on WA education website & in person
Near enough to all ameneties without having to be on top of it (shops of all varieties, ie-clothes, chemist, supermarket etc) community centre with loads going on, leisure centre with fantastic facilities (aqua jetty) and amazing uncrowded beach.
and just generally the 'feel' of it to be honest, we have found everyone around here to be really friendly.
hope this helps

Re: Rockingham / Port Kennedy meet up
too far! you'd need a good hour or more in peak traffic, 45 mins non peak

Not to sure of the exact details, but we have new railway lines and a station just been built which is due to open.... soon? (not sure of the dates)
Apparantly, this will be commuting into Perth CBD daily. Im not sure of times etc, I have just seen the new station, and I know thats its due to open sometime soon. Its just outside of Port Kennedy by the way, with parking facilities at the station.
