Hi bored brit

This happened to me, see this thread; http://britishexpats.com/forum/showthread.php?t=212173

.......and I'm now in Oz so there's no need for you to worry

Apparently DIMIA do this to 1 in every [n]applicants and like me, you got the short straw I'm afraid my friend

All I did was re-send them everything [even the things they asked for and had already received previously] and I also provided any extra info they requested. The things I coldn't provide, I just explained why.

About 1 or 2 weeks later I got the go ahead!

Chin up...it's a pain but like you said, they've got the upper hand. Grit your teeth and send them what they want. At least you know you're one step nearer to getting that yellow envelope

Good luck!!

Its just so bloody frustrating that every time you think you are there they change the goalposts and you feel like you are never going to get there.
No chance of xmas in Melbourne for us but as you say we will get there eventually

We are hoping to go to Perth next year or least get out there to validate.
We are one of the many still waiting to be called up for meds and applied April 2004.
It is my husband who is the Butcher actually and is not bothered what he does.
Apparently there is work in the trade but mainly factory/slaughter houses etc not really keen on that ,but he is prepared to anything at first as long as it pays the bills.
I have heard that it is not easy to find work but we shall see.
Ithink with the right attitude and resumein hand we stand a chance but it does worry me when I read other threads about people not being able to find work for twelve months.
I think at the end of tyhe day if you can find work then we should be alright.Hope it all works out for all of us.Good Luck
