Replacement UK Passport - Help please!!
Hi
I need some help please...My UK passport is due to run out next October so i want to get it renewed in case i need to visit home. I have found out how to do this by sending it off to Canberra. The only thing is my permanent residence visa is attached to one of the passport pages. Does anyone know what happens with this? I'm worried that i might lose it with the old passport :scared: Do they transfer it to the new passport or do i have to get one of those Resident Return Visa's instead?

there are basically two options...
you do automatically get your old passport back with your permanent visa sticker in it.... you can just keep your old passport and carry both
or
just take your old and new passport into the dimia office in brisbane and they will print you a shiny new sticker for free to go into your new passport...
it is that easy...
